About
Mr. Dominick
Previous
to my appointment as the principal of Evans Elementary, I was part
of an excellent administrative team at Roy C. Ketcham High School for
three years. I was lucky to return to my alma mater and
work with Ketcham kids. I was a 1988 graduate of Roy C. Ketcham
where I played football and baseball. I attended Dutchess
Community College and Marist College and graduated with a Bachelor
of Art in History/Secondary Education degree. I relocated to
Raleigh,
North Carolina to begin my teaching career. My first assignment was at
Sanderson High teaching US and World History as well as coaching
football and baseball. During my 5 years of teaching in North Carolina,
I taught a variety of classes of which included sixth grade social
studies, economics, law, politics and Future Teachers of America.
My family and I left North Carolina for the mountains of Pennsylvania
where I was a stay-at-home dad while finishing my Master's in education
with an Administrative emphasis from Mansfield University in Mansfield,
PA. Upon completion of my degree, I returned 'home' to Roy C
Ketcham.
At home I am blessed with a wonderful family. My wife,
Melissa, and I have three children. Morgan (10), McKenzie (8) and our
son Kole (4) make up our home team. Besides being a huge fan of
college and professional sports, I am a huge fan of all of my
children's activities. During my free time, I can often be
found on a sideline, in the audience or at their school enjoying their
activities.
I am excited to be at Evans. I look forward to working with all
Evans stakeholders to ensure every Evans Eagle experiences success.
Throughout my life, I have always been part of a team. I
understand and appreciate the importance of teamwork and the ability to
work through cooperation. This is one of the many traits I bring
as one of the newest member of the Evans family.
