Publishing Company is one of the businesses in the 
Oak
Grove Village. The company offers the opportunity for every student
in the building to publish one book during the school year. Students
from kindergarten to fifth grade have published books on a variety
of topics, including fairy tales, autobiographical pieces, historical
fiction, and poetry. They write, type, edit, and illustrate their
own work under the direction of their classroom teachers.
The company is run with the help of parent volunteers who work on one or more of the subcommittees of the publishing company. Volunteers may make book covers at home, work one-on-one with students to write, type, or edit student work, or bind books during the school day. Thanks to the volunteers who have made this very worthwhile project a success!
