500 Global Studies Terms
Stage 1:
Use the link below to access the 500 terms
(1) Go over 1/2 of a column a study session with blank flash cards on hand
(2) Try to remember the terms as you go through them, and say them to yourself
(3) If you do not know a term(s) create flash cards for only the ones you don't know!
- The term on a blank side of the card and definition on the other
(4) Study the cards that you had made until you feel comfortable knowing most of them
(5) Flag the ones that you have a tough time recalling with a star or highlighter
(6) The following study session, go back through your cards and try to recall the terms
* You do not have to wait until you remember all of the terms on the cards to move
to the next set of terms but you should file the ones you do not know with the next
set of cards you do not know...and repeat this cycle
** The objective to the constant review of the terms is to hopefully not have any
cards at all by the time you take the exam -
300 Term Quia Flash Card Site
Stage 1 (cont...)
Use this site like the 500 page site above. There is a lot of overlap between the 2 sites.
(1) Again, take 25-50 terms (what ever you feel comfortable dealing with at a time) and review the terms. The ones you do not know, write down on a flash card. Read above.
(2) Be sure to check the "Term First" box and un-check the "Both Sides" box located on the top of the card
(3) After you are done with the card you are working on, click the arrow to the right for another card
(4) Repeat...

Regents Multiple Choice Questions By Theme
Stage 2
Again, use this site to review specific multiple choice questions from specific areas that you are struggling with.
(1) The column on the left is filled with multiple choice questions from different topics
(2) If you answer a question incorrectly, the site will give you more chances until you get the question correct.
*Regardless of how many times it takes you to chose the correct answer, it gives you the explanation as to why the answer is what it is.
(3) Be sure to take down your score for each quiz you take so you know what you need to study and can move on from -
Individual Topic Quiz Questions
Click on the link below to access another series of quizzes that are correlated to specific topis throughout the entire course.

Past Regents Exams With Scoring Keys
Stage 3:
Use the link below to access past regents exams.
(1) Print the key first but do not look at it when you are going through the questions
(2) Answer the multiple choice section 4-6 questions at a time (I use a column on a page or an entire page depending on the amount of questions on the page)
(3) Go back over the answers to those 4-6 questions on the sheet and see how you are doing
(4) If you are coming across terms you did not know, go back to the vocab page links above -
Random Regents Multiple Choice Quizzes
Stage 3 (cont...)
First off, these are not as good as going through the actual past Regents exams from the link before this one. Yes, it is automated but, it is better to get the feel of the wording from the actual Regents exams.
(1) Access the link and scroll down to the 9 separate quizzes under the second topic in turquoise labeled "Global History and Geography"
(2) Be aware that each quiz is timed
(3) Be sure to write down you scores
*Hopefully your scores are better on quiz #9 than quiz #1! -
Regents Review Live
Stage 4:
The night before the exam, play this hour and a half review of the course. It is an easy watch and it can tie in some of the themes you have been studying for the last 8 weeks.
(1) Go to the link below and be sure to click on the "Watch Live 2.0" link below the main mosaic...don't ask "what is a mosaic!"
*Do not use this as your whole review for the exam!
**If you are trying to "cram" the night before the exam as you have not studied till now, ask yourself this question; do you really think you can review 2 years worth of history in one night? I didn't think so either. Better to get a good night sleep than to frustrate yourself!
