The Fishkill Plains PTA would like to welcome all new and returning students and their families to our new school year.
Listed below are upcoming events.  Be sure to check the benefits that PTA members can receive from Barnes and Noble, Liberty Mutual and Southwest Airlines Vacations on the National PTA website.

--> Parents as Partners Night, September 17th and 18th.
PTA Membership sign up will be available on these two evenings. Linked is a membership form to fill out as well as a Student Directory form. Also linked here you will find a brochure explaining the various PTA events and a volunteer sign up sheet. We encourage you to read through the brochure and volunteer for as many events as interest you! You can send these forms in with your child in an envelope marked PTA or bring it to Parents as Partners Night. We thank you in advance for your support!

-->  Our first PTA meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 25th at 7:00 pm in the all purpose room (cafeteria). We welcome new ideas and look forward to an exciting year for our kids. With your help our PTA can deeply enrich our children’s school experience. A coloring table will be available for children.

--> Please spread the word to all Fishkill Plains parents to take advantage of our e-mail distribution list sign-up.

--> Also, our Fall (wrapping paper) Fund Raiser is due back on September 25th.  Throughout the year, we will be holding 
various fund raisers, but this Fall Fund Raiser is our most important one that raises the money that we use for the special 
programs in the All Purpose Room. The children really enjoy these and get a lot of good information in a way that is different from the everyday classroom education.  Please participate in the fund raisers that are most useful to you; there is, of course,  no obligation to participate in all of them!  Our current schedule for future fund raisers is as follows:
    Sept - Fall Fundraiser  (many great holiday gifts!)
    Oct - Entertainment Books  (makes a great holiday gift!)
    Nov - Handmade Candles  (makes a great holiday gift!)
    Jan - Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies  (to warm up your kitchen on a cold day with some hot chocolate!)
    Feb(Valentines) - $1 Candy Bars
    Mar - Ultimate Discount Cards (last year's cards expire in April 2008)
    Apr(Earth Day) - Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Products
    May - Zap-a-Snack   (to help you have quick snacks with the spring sports and activities rush!)

1)  Go to http://groups.google.com/group/FishkillPlains
2)  click the SIGN IN button  in the upper right.
3) Sign in to Google Groups with your Google account   email:        password: 
   If you did not set this up yet, you may have to go thru a couple of sign up pages
4) Click SIGN IN 
5) Click   + NEW POST button
6) Type in your  memo that you want to send out 
7) Click POST MESSAGE at the bottom of the page 

NOTE: You must be given authority to SEND OUT memos by the PTA Google Group owner before sending memos.
