Meeting was called to order at 7:10pm. 30 were in attendance.

Teacher Liaison: Mrs. Plambeck was present. Thank you for the stone for Crystal Boreao.
Corresponding Secretary Report: There was a very nice Thank You from Bianta Ray for the scholarship given to a John Jay student who attended Fishkill Plains.
Treasurer's Report: Dina Finelli was absent. Budget was reviewed. Balance is at about $14,346 ($5000 ear-marked from After School Clubs may be used toward painting the cafeteria and maybe some benches/tables around the playground.)
Membership Report: Lisa Ruvo reported we are asking Teachers for 100% participation. We have forms to join so please hang around after the meeting to do that. All who join the PTA will get a Student directory with phone numbers and addresses of Fishkill Plains students.
Committee Report: Traci Scarduzio reported she is still collecting volunteer forms. Let her know if you would like to join any of our activities/committees. School Spirit Wear is open needing a chairperson.
Hannaford Fund Raiser - Nancy Buck explained that Hannaford runs a school fund raiser when you buy certain items between Sept 3rd thru Dec 2nd and they will donate money to our school. Your receipt will say "Hannaford Helps Schools" and a dollar amount. You will place your receipt in the envelope after checkout marked for "Fishkill Plains". (If you don't see Fishkill Plains, bring it in for PTA marked "ATTN: Nancy Buck, Hannaford receipts). Fall Fundraiser - Sally Foster due Oct 6th. PTA gets 50% of each order. Show of hands on whether we should send all fundraisers at once 2nd week of school or should they be spread out over some weeks. Results showed about a 50/50 spread on this.
Grandma's Pies - No pies from Grandma since she is not fundraising for schools anymore. Ovens of Ashley Gourmet Pies will replace this. Orders will come in before Thanksgiving.
Pizza Uno's and Perkins - Fishkill Plains Fundraising Family Night will be held at each of these area restaurants. We will choose the dates and information will be coming home soon. We get 20% of the pre-tax check.
School Store - Tues, Oct 3rd. Debbie Martin is running it. Future stores will be the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Bully Magic Show - Tues, Oct 3rd assembly. We had this last year and it was excellent; this year's assembly will be a Part II to what was presented last year. There is a Bully-Box(our red Mailbox) that is available for children who may want to write down concerns they have about being bullied. Kim Busche will monitor these notes throughout the year with Mrs. Epstein and teachers. Parents involved will be called to let them know what is going on.
Room Parent Tea - Fri, Oct 6th. Parents who signed up on Parents as Partners will get together to discuss upcoming class parties.
Family Fun Night Halloween Laser Light Show - Wed, Oct 25th Two sessions 7-7:45 pm and 8-8:45pm $2 per ticket. Notices will be sent home. Space will be limited. FireMarshalls changed the capacity of the APR to only 150 people.
Book Fair: Need volunteers for Family Fun Night organizing and ideas for RainForest theme. Mrs. Gendres will be organizer for the Address booklets that are collected for magazine subscriptions. We get $3 for each booklet with 12 valid addresses. Teachers get prizes for class participation; students get to choose a prize at the bookfair.
