Metals

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This 20-week course will focus on the development of metal fabrication techniques.  The student will be introduced to the different methods of metals production.  The student will gain an understanding of the correct and safe use of multiple tools and machines through the completion of several hands-on activities.  Some of the activities that the student will complete are sheet metal, lathe turning, milling, and a welding project using a variety of techniques.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

  1. A 3-ring binder is required and is for this class only!  This should be brought to class each day
  2. A pen or pencil in class each day.
  3. Binder should have 4 tab dividers and paper.
  4. All work missed must be made up.
  5. Participation in all class activities.
  6. Follow all internet safety rules.
