My name is Franco Miele and I am the principal at Sheafe Road Elementary School. This is my sixth year as an administrator in the Wappingers School District. I come to Sheafe from Roy C. Ketcham High School, where I was an assistant principal for three years. Before coming to Wappingers, I was an elementary school teacher in the Mount Vernon City School District. While teaching, I also coached high school football and baseball. My teaching and coaching years were great experiences that helped build the foundation for me to become a school principal. Joining the Sheafe family as its new leader is an honor for me and a dream come true!

The Wappingers School District is a dynamic one, with an excellent faculty and a wonderfully diverse student body. We, as a whole, are making great strides and exceeding expectations. I am proud to be a part of this impressive and hard-working team.

On a personal note, I am married to my very supportive and beautiful wife, Rosa. She teaches English as a Second Language in an elementary school in the Hendrick Hudson School District. We have a beautiful daughter named Liana.

I look forward to working with teachers, parents, and staff to create the best possible learning experience for all of our students at Sheafe Road Elementary School– a fun place to learn!
