Bailey- courtyard
Castle- home of a feudal lord or monarch. A castle is fortified for protection.
Drawbridge- a large heavy door that lowers across a moat to enter a castle, and raises to block entrance
Garderobe- a small toilet or latrine inside a thick wall or protruding form a wall
Inner Ward- open space in the middle of the castle
Moat- a deep trench filled with water, or left dry. The moat prevents access from surrounding land.
