Introduction

This is your mission as fourth grade math students, if you choose to accept it. You are to navigate through this web quest to help strengthen your multiplication skills. Sometimes you will be playing games, other times you will be doing worksheets. By the time you are done with this web quest you should be ready to take a timed multiplication test, and complete it with 100% accuracy. Be sure to complete every task correctly before moving to the next one. Have fun and good luck!!!!!

You will be working individually in the computer lab, every day 2 (computer day) until you finish the web quest. In particular you will be focusing on drill and practice of your multiplication times tables.

The Process

  1. Click on the first web site under resources (mathusak), complete the following game by clicking the begin button. Once you have complete 10 out of 10 correctly click the back icon to return to the web quest page. Do not make this game any harder then it is (The level that comes up is the level I want you to work on).
  2.  Click on the second web site (coolmath4kids), Click the multiplication button, and then hit the go button. Complete the game until you get at least 15 out of 20 problems correctly. Return to the web quest by clicking the back button.
  3. Click on the next web site (4 funbrain) and complete the following baseball game until you get at least 20 runs. Click on the back button.
  4. Click on the geocites web site and complete one puzzle. When you are done with the puzzle click the back button to return to the web quest page.
  5. Click on the aplus math web site. Complete the math-o game by clicking on the square that is the solution to the problem below. You may return to the web quest page once you have gotten math-o.
  6. Click on the aaamath page and scroll down until you see the orange screen. Click on the start multiplication icon. Once you have earned an 85% you can go back to the web quest page and continue to the next step.
  7. Click on the schoolexpress web site. Once the page comes up click on the printer icon. Go to the printer and wait for the worksheet to be printed out. Complete this worksheet during work time in class, and hand it in to the bin.
  8. Click on the web site 2funbrain and complete the following soccer game until you get at least 10 goals. Once you have gotten 10 goals return to the web quest page, and move on!
  9. Click on the last web site (Yeah!!!). Complete the tick-tack-toe game until you win at least three times. Now you can click on the back button, and continue reading down the page.


Evaluation

Now you are ready for the test! Aren't you excited. Click on the link below.

 Multiplication Test

Now click on the printer icon. Once you get the printed out version of the test bring it to Miss Petrone. I hope you had fun, and I hope you know your  Times Tables!!!

Conclusion

The purpose of this assignment was not to torture you. It was to help you learn your times tables. Multiplication is going to follow you all the way to high school, so you will be much better off if you learn it now instead of later. I hope this was a good experience!

This Web Quest was designed to promote the drill and practice of the multiplication tables. Students can use this at home leisurely, or in school at a more serious pace. I hope this helps your students become more proficient in multiplication.
