Superintendent's Message

  • Message from Superintendent of Schools, Mr. José Carrión

    October 2016

    Dear WCSD Community,

On October 5, 2016, I will be hosting a Superintendent’s Forum where members of the community are welcome to participate in a Question and Answer session regarding WCSD student arrival and dismissal times, as well as converting our transportation from a three-tier system to a two-tier system. This forum will be the first of other Superintendent’s Forums that will be held during the 2016–2017 school year.  Last school year, the former Board of Education passed a resolution to continue exploring a two-tier bus schedule and a modification of the arrival and dismissal times for all students of the WCSD. Information related to this topic is available on our website as well as a collection of questions asked by the WCSD community with answers provided by the administration.  Our next Superintendent’s Forum will focus on a conversation of the present standards and the work that is being done to revise them.  We look forward to your participation at the forums.
