    March 2025

    Greetings Ketcham Nation!

We are looking forward to the start of spring and have enjoyed a wonderful March so far!

Our school was well represented at the annual Dutchess St. Patrick's Parade, which was held on the same day as the WCSD Science Fair and the first ever Pay Less for the Dress event here at RCK. We had so many students, faculty, staff and administrators at all of these events because we know how important it is to be a good partner to our town, which is celebrating its 150th birthday this year!

Congratulations to the students who placed at the STEAM/Science Fair and are now headed to the Dutchess County Regional Science Fair. Congratulations also to the students who recently presented at the UAlbany Science Research Symposium. This week, several members of our Math Team are participating in the Math DUSO league regionals at Vassar College. Four of our students ranked in the Top 30 qualifiers for the math State Finals next month! It is always incredible to see how our students shine in and around RCK!

This week, we will support Sparrow's Nest Charity by dressing down to help raise funds for this local organization that feeds families facing a cancer diagnosis. We will also welcome guest speaker Matteo Lundgren who specializes in empowering people and reminds us that by giving back we help ourselves as much as others.

March 19th marks 100 Days to Graduation! The school year has flown by and commencement day for our Class of 2025 will be here before you know it! There will be much more for our seniors to celebrate leading up to graduation. Make sure you continue to monitor your school e-mail, Google Classroom, daily announcements and the Class of 2025 website for updates.

This month, we will celebrate the students being inducted into the Spanish and Italian national honor societies and there will be even more inductions next month.

Our marquee has been full of great announcements for our student accomplishments. We would like to again congratulate the Class of 2025 valedictorian Emily Zhang and salutatorian Sophie Zhang. We are very proud of their achievements.

As a reminder, the district has changed the way grades are reported on the Parent & Student Portal, eliminating five-week progress reports in favor of more accurate, up-to-date information. Assignments and assessments will now be posted to the portal as they are assigned allowing you better access to the student's academic progress.

Our winter sports season has ended. Congratulations to our scholar athletes and to the students who qualified for state championships! Spring sports are gearing up and we look forward to cheering on our student athletes. As always, please come out and support our teams. Please also be mindful when you are driving on and near campus that there are runners on the road and players crossing through parking lots.

If you have not yet done so, please order a yearbook as March 15 is the final day for orders! And don't forget to check the Masque & Mime website to purchase tickets for the spring production of Mary Poppins and learn other ways to support our drama students!

Continue to check the RCK website and social media pages for updates on all the great things happening in and around our school.

As spring arrives, we hope to continue the momentum of the school year. We know our students work hard and strive for success on a daily basis. Thank you for always supporting our school.
