ANNOUNCEMENTS

For the current Fall Driver Ed students: the optional 17th lecture class will be held on Wednesday, 1/28 @ John Jay in room 128, from 2:45-4:15 pm. This class is for students from both RCK & JJ that need to make-up a least one lecture class absence from this past semester. Emails have been sent out regarding the specific requirements for attending this class. Please check your email or contact the Driver Ed office if y ou have questions.


WINTER/SPRING 2026 DRIVER ED PROGRAMS

Registration for the Ketcham program is CLOSED. We are only accepting names for the wait list at this time. There are a VERY LIMITED number of spots left at John Jay. Registration will close on 1/23 @ 9:00 am, or earlier if the spots fill up.

This is a first-come, first-serve registration and spots fill up quickly! Registration for both schools closes FRIDAY, January 23rd @ 9:00 am or when all spots are filled, whichever comes first.

5-HOUR PRE-LICENSING COURSE
We no longer offer the 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course. You can check Dutchess School of Driving, Dutchess Community College or Arlington Continuing Ed to see if they have classes scheduled.
 

HIGH SCHOOL PARKING PERMITS
If you are looking for information about parking permits to park at the high school, please call the high school's main office. The Driver Ed department does not handle high school parking permits.

Location: Ketcham H.S. Annex, 99 Myers Corners Road, Wappingers Falls. The office is located in the blue building to the left of Ketcham HS.

WEATHER POLICY
In the case of inclement weather, when after-school activities are canceled for Wappingers Central School District, then all driving sessions and lecture classes are canceled as well. If evening activities are canceled, lecture classes will still be held. Additionally, some driving lessons will also still be held. Contact your driving instructor to confirm your driving if evening activities are canceled for the district.
