Voter Information

On May 19, 2026, District residents will have the opportunity to vote on:
- the school district's proposed budget for the 2026-2027 school year
- a bus purchase proposition
- candidates for the Board of Education (three vacancies)
To vote you must be:
- A permanent resident of the district for at least 30 days immediately prior to the vote
- 18 years of age or older
- A U.S. citizen
- Registered with the school district or the Dutchess/Putnam County Board of Elections (depending on county of residence)

If you are registered to vote in local or national elections, you are automatically registered to vote in school district elections. However, if you have not voted in the past four years, your voter registration may be marked inactive, and you may be required to re-register to vote.
You may register in the Office of the District Clerk, located at 25 Corporate Park Drive, Hopewell Junction, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) between 8:30am to 4:00pm until Thursday, May 14, 2026. Registration is for new residents or residents who have not voted in a Wappingers CSD school election in the past four years. Proof of residency will be required, such as a driver’s license, non-driver identification card, or utility bill.
Please note: registration with the District Clerk is only for school district elections. You may also register with the Dutchess/Putnam County Board of Elections for all elections:
