September 5, 2025

Dear Wappingers CSD Community,
As I visited our 15 schools during the school day yesterday, I was so proud to see that the 25-26 school year had begun on a very positive note: The faculty, staff, students, and families that I interacted with were excited about the upcoming year! The positive culture and climate in our schools was very apparent.

As always, our priority is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all students: this includes mutual respect, as well as opportunities for Success both inside and outside the classroom. Our goal is to create an environment conducive to both teaching and learning, allowing all students to reach their highest academic, social, and emotional potential.

I would also like to thank our faculty and staff for their efforts over the summer to prepare for the start of the school year, and our families for their continued support, as well as their participation in the many school events already taking place this year.

Please do not hesitate to contact building or District administration if you ever have questions or concerns. We look forward to working together this year, and we continue to “Build our Future Together.” It truly takes a community-wide effort to contribute to the success of all of our students.

With much gratitude,
Dr. Dwight Bonk
Superintendent of Schools
