Dear Parents and Guardians,
 

WCSD now uses Infinite Campus (previously SchoolTool) for student information. We believe this new tool has been well-received by our parent community: it has been a great improvement, offering easier access to even more information. 
 

Everyone will need to create a new account with Infinite Campus to access their child’s academic information.  You will receive an email invitation with a link to create your new username and password for Infinite Campus. Once you have created your account, please review all of your contact/address information and let us know about any inaccuracies.

Campus Parent Onboarding Guide

 

The Infinite Campus Parent Portal is a powerful tool that provides you with a real-time window into the classroom. Its value lies in its ability to deliver immediate access to crucial academic information—including grades, assignments, attendance records, and schedules. This enables you to understand, monitor, and participate in your child's educational process from anywhere, at any time, on any device. By staying informed, you can provide timely support, celebrate achievements, and work in tandem with our educators to ensure your child thrives.

This guide will help families get started with Infinite Campus, our online system for checking grades, assignments, attendance, and more. The steps below will show you how to log in, find information, and set up notifications so you can stay connected with your student’s progress.

1. Accessing Campus Parent

Creating your personalized Parent Portal account is the first step to unlocking all the academic information and communication tools the district provides for your student. Your unique account ensures that your child's information remains secure while giving you comprehensive access across all your children enrolled in WCSD.

Primary Method: Activating Your Account via Email Invitation

1. Check Your Inbox: Use the activation provided by the school if you are a new user. The Activation Key is emailed to you every Friday if you have not registered yet. If you need help, contact parent.portal@wcsdny.org

2. Click the Secure Link: Click this secure link to begin the activation process for your Parent Portal account.

3. Create Your Credentials: Follow the on-screen prompts to create a new, secure username and password.

4. Review Your Information: After your first login, please take a moment to carefully review all of your contact and address information. If you notice any inaccuracies, please let us know so we can update our records.



 

You can access Infinite Campus on any computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Website

Go to Homepage and click on 'Parent Portal' under Quick Links at the top of the page.

Mobile App

Download the Infinite Campus app from the App Store or Google Play, then select Wappingers CSD as your district.

Login Information

2. Navigating Campus Parent

Upon logging in, you will land on the Home screen, which serves as your central dashboard. Here, you will see a summary card for each of your students enrolled in the district. These cards display the most timely and important information at a glance, including:

  • Documents that require your attention or eSignature
  • Assignments due today
  • Recent assignment scores and grade updates
  • Recent attendance events
  • Recent behavior events

Navigating Between Students

For families with more than one child in WCSD, switching between student profiles is seamless. When you are using a student-specific tool like Grades, Schedule, or Attendance, a dropdown menu with your students' names will appear in the top-right corner of the screen. Simply select a different name to view that child's information.

Check current grades, progress reports, and teacher feedback.

Grade Book Updates

Lists all assignments scored or updated in the last 14 days, providing a quick summary of what's new.

Attendance

Review a summary and detailed view of absences and tardies, including whether they are excused or unexcused. 

Calendar

See assignments, schedules, and attendance events in a calendar view. Use the "Weekly Overview" to see all assignments for a given week on one page.

Schedule

View your student's class schedule for each term, complete with teacher names, room numbers, and course details.

Fees

View a list of all assigned fees (e.g., lab, field trip), track your balance, and see what has been paid or is still owed.

Documents

Access and manage important files like report cards, transcripts, IEPs, and forms that may require your eSignature.

Message Center

Read important announcements from the school or district and view messages received from teachers. Note that these announcements cannot be deleted.

Access a comprehensive collection of other student information, including demographics, health records, transportation details, password and more.

4. Setting Notifications

The Infinite Campus Parent Portal allows you to tailor your experience to fit your specific needs and communication preferences. By managing your notification and contact settings, you can ensure you receive the right information, at the right time, in the way that works best for you.

Stay up to date! You can choose to receive alerts when grades are updated, assignments are posted, or your student is marked absent.

Managing Notification Settings

You have control over the types of alerts you receive from the portal. This ensures you are notified about the things that matter most to you without being overwhelmed.

To adjust your settings, navigate to the user menu (the person icon in the top-right corner), click Settings, and then select Notification Settings. From this screen, you can:

* Enable or disable push notifications for specific events, such as when an "Assignment is scored," a "Grade is updated," or "Attendance is updated."

Account and Language Settings

You can also manage your personal account details and preferred language.

* Account Settings: In this area, you can update your Account Security Email, which is used if you ever need to recover a forgotten password. You can also change your portal password at any time.

* Language: To change the display language of the portal, go to the user menu and select Language. WCSD provides full support for English and Spanish. Other languages, such as Chinese, may also be available within the platform.

4. Need Help?

If you have trouble logging in or finding information, contact your child’s school main office or email the district technology help desk at parent.portal@wcsdny.org. Staff can help you reset passwords or guide you through the system.

💡 Tip: For security, never share your Infinite Campus login with anyone else.
